    Oh deer me!

Looks great! As I prepared some Philly cheesesteak sammies last night on the griddle, I was thinking if I could do the same with venison (ground or sliced). We have plenty still in the freezer and the season is fast approaching. You have shown it is definitely possible. Any special...

Wild Fork Foods skirt steak fajitas

Ok, you've gone and done it, Al. Now I have to place an order ... again ... with skirt steak on the list. They have some good stuff and decent prices. That looks really good and will probably find a spot on my new Blackstone griddle (gift from daughters when I retired in March).

Which Temperature Brand/Model Do You Use?

I have used this unit for over 4 years. Very happy, although I wished it had alarm for temperature dropping. Have a second unit I bought as backup, but the first has never quit.

    Prep table ideas?

I have seen those plans and might use them as a starter. I was thinking about either cedar or pine with a good exterior coating. I am not a big fan of pressure treated for the reasons you mention. Have considered finding a "scrap" countertop composite for the top. Not sure I can find one...

    Prep table ideas?

I am getting too many toys on the deck (Camp Chef pellet, WSM, Weber gas grill & Blackstone griddle) which means lots of utensils, etc. when cooking. One thing I lack is some sort of prep table to hold stuff while cooking. Since I retired a few months ago and have all that free time (LOL), I...

    Pit Boss Sierra Griddle

What a mess! It is amazing the lack of customer service I have seen from Wally World when ordering on-line. One thing it seems they are doing is the Amazon model where their site is acting as storefront for 3rd party sellers, which they don't like to get involved in disputes. As far as FedEx...

Whole leaf or shredded lettuce on a sandwich?

Prefer whole leaf on burgers and sammies ... but do hate it when eating out and they give you a leaf so large it would cover a Hoosier Breaded Tenderloin. Shredded on those subs.

Made a fix for the dripping drain hole when not in use

Want something a little bigger, use a discarded 15 oz. or 28 oz. "tin" can.

[Easter Dinner]: Leg of Lamb and Lamb Ribs

I am also interested. Have a rack and leg in the freezer planning to smoke soon but have never smoked lamb. In prep I found a recipe for a smoked leg using this combo for a dry rub that looked appealing and was going to be my starting point. 1-1/2 Tbs. kosher salt 1-1/2 Tbs. dried rosemary...

    Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Bourbon Trail is on my bucket list. You would think I would have done it since my sisters live within 30-60 minutes from there. In fact, a nephew had his wedding reception at Buffalo Trace Distillery.

    Pet owners worst responsibility

Sorry to hear this, Christian. My sympathy. We have suffered through letting go of nearly a dozen pets (all dogs) and none were easy. But my worst is yet to come. Rowdy, our rescue Springer, won my heart the day we met him. I dreed the day what he crosses the rainbow bridge.
