Perfect MN day for a cold cheese smoke

Done, and packed, ready for a month in the box.  Good day :) I did these with only apple pellets in the A-Maze-N - 2.2 hours for the marble on the top shelf 2.8 hours for the mozz and pepper.  The temp stayed within 2* of 60 but then pretty quickly climbed up to 69* after 1.5 hours when my...

Perfect MN day for a cold cheese smoke

2 lbs ea of Mozz, Marble Jack, and Pepper Jack ready for 2 hours of apple smoke.  32* outside temp, 59* and steady inside a half hour in.  The cheese looks happy because I haven't yet mentioned anything about the month in the penalty box before it gets to show off :) Looks like I have to...

    Hi from central Wisconsin

Welcome to SMF, neighbor!  The first accessory for my new smoker was an AMNPS just so I could cold smoke cheese - check out the Cold Smoking forum, you'll love it!

when its cold outside , easy oven baked ribs

The only difference between smoking when it's cold (below 0) and warm (anything above 0) is that the can cooler on your beer magically converts to being a hand warmer.

    like the info

Hi Chuck - handy feature for finding threads you've started or posted in:  Mouse over Forum on the menu bar up top and click "I've Posted" on the top line of the menu drop down, on the far right.  Agree about the great info to be found - happy Q'ing!

Looks great!  Thanks for the note on the drip tube freeze/congeal - that's now permanently noted in me little brain. :) Dave - that actually is something we have to deal with.  An overnight smoke that same night would have bottomed out around 20 degrees lower than 8, so it's def. something to...

First cheese smoke with mbxl and amnps

Nice!! The Gorg looks great! -- Regarding the reorg, I started my AMNPS on the left, moved it to the center after 40 minutes, then the right after 40 more - I figured it was easier to mess w/that than the 12 pieces of cheese :)

1st Brisket on My New Pellet Smoker - Heavy Q-View!

Looks awesome, Todd!  I'm only bummed that I didn't realize you were almost a neighbor before mail-ordering my AMNPS - I probably could've picked one up on the way home from work!

    Cool day cold smoke...

Thanks Stan - that's the plan - I'm going to do a few pounds every other week and build up a stash.  Temp control will be interesting as we come out of winter, but I'm anxious to experiment and tweak.  I have another 8 or 9 lbs of a few different varieties ready to go, can't wait to get some...
