    Pellet grill advice

I don't have a Pit Boss, but I do not sear with my Camp Chef. My Weber propane grill is 3 feet away from the pellet and I can get it easily to 450F in less than 10 minutes.

How many people do you cook for?

Like many others, we are empty nesters, so it is normally 2 that I am cooking for. But I struggle to remember to downsize some of the cooks and I might as well be cooking for 4-5. When I put a brisket, butt, or standing rib roast, we may have to invite the neighbors.

Looks fantastic! Great idea to use the Sata Maria. Now I think I will thaw some of the elk in my freezer this week.

    Retirement Isn't Bad!!

Retired this past Friday after 44 years since graduation. My beautiful daughters surprised me with a new deck toy. We went to visit them and drove the Camry, so needless to say the griddle stays with one of them until drive back with the truck. I can't wait to unpack it and get that first meal...

    Only Funny Because It's True!!!!!

Yes, tomorrow is my last day. All I need to do is clean out part of the office and say goodbye to a few good people. Exit interview at 2PM. More time for smoking, grilling & chilling!

    Only Funny Because It's True!!!!!

I have decided to just retire so I don't have to fill the truck up every 4 days for the commute. The reduction in income should just about be offset by savings in gas consumption.
