Cream of three crops is a great tasting Cream Ale recipe.

Howdy,
Glass is the way to go and spend the few bucks to get a carboy handle but don't pick it up by just the handle. The necks can snap under the load.
I use a filing crate to hold and carry carboys. A 5g might fit in a milk crate.
(That's a Blood Orange Wheat in the carboy)

Coyote,
If it took off well and then settled it's probably just fine. You could have roused it a bit too.
Was it Nottingham? If it was, I've had it do the same thing but a hydo test will be the final answer. It's a fast worker.
Funny how you look around at your beer reserves and know you...
This year's Hopslam is much better than last. It's got a much brighter hop flavor and nose. It's nice to be done with the hop shortage!
Try to find some Southern Tier Unearthly or Oaked Unearthly. Good stuff.
Prost!
Hola,
I'm on BA but I haven't done any trading. I use it mostly to research beer. Another member of our brew club trades constantly! He's been very happy with the process and he's good about sharing. LOL!
Prost,
Bob
Well that's a win-win!
I love the look that some people give you when you tell them you brew your own beer. That weird "Lassie, where's Timmy?" head twist kind of thing.
Cheers,
Bob
Howdy,
Definately post a pic.
I brew in my garage. My wife likes the malty smell of the wort but as soon as the hops are added she wrinkles her nose up and she's done! Me, I think it smells wonderful.
What was your FG?
Cheers,
Bob
Howdy,
Welcome to the hobby that is actually an obsession.
I've been brewing for nearly 5 years and recently did a stint as Head Brewer at a local brewery.
I started out getting a Mr. Beer for Xmas but I never used it. I jumped right in to all-grain and skipped bottling for kegs. My latest...
Howdy,
This has been the summer of the Jalapeno!
My wife and I are addicted to these things and I blame all of you here!
I don't slow smoke every night and seeing how we eat these 2-4 nights a week, I needed a shortcut. I'm using a cast iron tortilla pan on the grill to cook the abt's. My wife...
Howdy,
I've always loved Jalapeno poppers but damn, I can't stop making these things! My wife and I crave them all the time!
I don't have a fancy roasting rack but the ol' rib racks do just fine!
Thanks SMF!
Cheers,
Bob
Mine started out as a beer fridge with a single tap on the side and commercial beer inside. Now that I brew, the tap hole serves as the IN for the CO2 and I can fit four cornies with picnic faucets. Bottles get scattered about.
A chest freezer will replace this when it goes.
Brewer and BBQ'r here too. Nice looking recipe.
Here's some beer pics.
A Rye IPA
And a Hefeweizen. This one was called "The Monkey's Naner". I fermented it warm and got HUGE banana smell and taste.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with the both hobbies!
Cheers
Bob
