General question...anyone have a preferred method for marking where the back of the cooking grate supports should be? I was thinking I would try and level the tank as best as I can and then simply use a straight-edge with a level on it to to extend to the rear-wall of the tank and mark/mount...- brnhornt

Was able to get my hands on a welder and made some progress this weekend. Using the bottle jack and chains I was able to get the door good on the left side, and only >1/16" on the right before my jack surrendered it's life. :) Got the left and right door seals in place. Finished cutting off the door last night. Forgot to snap a picture...but two of the corners moved almost 3/16" so it looks like I'll be trying the chain and bottle jack method of trying to pull it back in. Am I right in my thought about fitting the door back into place? Not only to...- brnhornt

May I ask what kind of options there are for tweaking? I knew that the door was going to be my largest gamble in this whole adventure. I don't have many metal-working tools (not even a torch), so I see it as if the door springs on me too much...the tank takes a ride with me to the recycler and...- brnhornt

Hey folks...aka Kam ;) ....didn't have much time this weekend to do anything, however I did manage to free two corners of my door. I used a 4" cut off wheel to cut the entire lengths of the top and bottom cuts a week so ago. Then on the left and right sides, I cut about 4 inches down/up from...- brnhornt

So perhaps my issues a "nominal" size thing...I've googled the heck out of it...but I can't find any supplier that has a 2 and 3/16 inch plug....so perhaps that's really just a "2" You're right...probably best to walk into somewhere local and ask someone....- brnhornt

Nothing fancy...just some progress pictures. Finished cutting the CC/FB opening last night. So I'm finally into the welding phase. First will be to get the door seals and hinges in place so I can cut the remaining 4 inches on each side...then really into the fabrication :) lookin' like...- brnhornt
