It does.
However sometimes I'm in the mood for more smoke than what the pellet grill gives on it's own, and sometimes not. I look at smoke like I look at any other seasoning.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for charcoal and wood smoke profiles, sometimes not.
The reason why you see the smoke tube...
No. But then I light it with a blow torch and let it burn for several minutes before placing it into the smoker.
At least 2 inches of pellets have been burned down before I put it into the smoker.
I’ll put it anywhere as long as smoldering pellets will not be close to the temp sensor.
Nope.
You're describing pretty much how I use mine. Usually one or two racks of ribs at a time. Typically dinner for two. Or a snack for one.
The advantage over the Trailblazer is that I can sometimes get most, or sometimes even all of the entire meal on the Stampede if I need to...
My vote is for the RT590 Stampede.
It's big enough without being too big and small enough without being too small.
We love ours and have recently added the competition cart and front shelf to it.
Puzzled here.
Are you saying that the SDHD doesn't give as "consistent" of a smoke result as you would like?
If it doesn't give as consistent of a smoke result as what you are looking for, well then what are your thoughts as to why this is the case.
Thanks.
No, there is no "official" shelf storage to speak of in the Competition cart.
However there are a couple of recessed areas where a smoke tube or two can be stored.
Also, it is possible to place the lower shelf from the stock cart and rest it beneath the Competition cart. But it's not...
For a pellet grill at the price point of the grill you’re testing and describing in your prior posts, there is no doubt in my mind that you’re asking/expecting too much.
Your Pitboss does not have a PID controller.
Out of curiosity, I have to ask. How tight do you expect your temps to run without a PID controller in your Pitboss?
20-40 degrees is about right considering the grill that you have.
A lot of people are going to tell you that this is of no...
That's too bad. I certainly wouldn't be happy with that.
Do they still sell that model, or has it been discontinued?
It's looking like this sort of thing can happen anywhere and to anyone.

Another Rec Tec owner here.
There has been talk about "rust" in this thread, and "quality of steel", paint flaking and such.
But as you allude to, issues can happen with anything and from anywhere.
Have a look. This smoker is said by the narrator to be 2 years old. It needs paint.
We've...
Thank you.
I have noticed a big difference in the maneuverability due to all 4 of the wheels being able to rotate and pivot vs just the front two wheels.
Well one tip which might help, is that with your Bull, you'll need to either bore a hole through the stainless steel, or use a hole saw to cut through it.
Make sure that you use the right tools.
And before that, also you may want to take into consideration the remainder of the 6yrs of your...
As soon as these two items became available, I decided to add them to my RT 590 Stampede.
They work great and I'm quite satisfied with them. Wanted to let others who own this particular grill, or who are contemplating it, that these items, the shelf, and the cart, are excellent in their...
Phone call? I'd take it right back to where I bought it from and demand my money back.
You set it at 180° and it climbs all the way up to 257°.
You set it at 250° and an hour later it's running at 274°?
What's the point in it having a temperature setting on it at all if it's not going to...
