    dave you are unreal! awesome job. question, I removed my chip tray while doing my mail box mod last weekend, I made a little bracket and have a ceramic tile sittng above my elment. would filling my water pan with sand or gravel and having this in its original spot above my ceramic tile also...

    do you remove anything to do with the chip tray inside?? also do you think the hole in the mail box matters if it was in the back or on top? to me the top would make more sense?

    hmm i called masterbuilt and she said its the same as the 20070910 im going to go have a look and open the box and check the corners on the controller which gen is the better unit ? by better i mean less common problems

    there asking 218 Canadian. i am wondering if this unit is prone to any problems or if i should pull the trigger
