I'am kinda sorry I got on this thread, as it looks like I got into the makins of World War 2 1/2. But I still love my Temperpedic knockoff. I guess its not much to say for a guy that only makes 29K a year, but then I try to keep it simple in my older years.
As we used to say in the 60's PEACE...
My wife and I got one of those Tempurpedic knock off beds. This has to be one of the best investments that I have made. No more sore backs, and when I get up in the morning I feel really rested. For 360 bucks it can't be beat.
Hi All I am going to post this again, as I think it may help someone with building thier own smokegun. Rest assured that these guns work great, but on some windy days (depending on which way the wind is blowing) they can be a real bear. The main concept is the old coal/wood stove draft theory...
Used to hunt with a handmade Flintlock Muzzle loader, then gave it up and took on a real sport. Mantrailing. Not only do you hunt for them, but sometimes they shoot back. No such than a bigger thrill than to get a phone call at 2 am and get shot at.
Now thats sport!!!!!!
Here are some ideas for you, and believe me these guns work great without any air pumps. Dennis.

Hey here is an earlier post that I have done on replacing the gears on the Grizzley. Although the nylon gears worked fine, I wanted to see if the L.E.M. metal gears were compatable. Well they are, and used the stuffer many times with the L.E.M. gears. Here is the original post and web site for...
Thanks Tim I should of known it was too good to be true. Although I do use some liquid smoke in my snack sticks I still prefer the deep smoked flavor of the smokehouse. Thanks for the info. may pm you for a small test piece.

Actually there was a total of 4 1/2 people working. (the hound counts as the half) Since I was doing the picture taking, and was the only one drinking there was only 3 actually working. The little 5 lb stuffer isn't too bad. Espically considering that a 15 lb stuffer costs lots more. Snack...
Yea there a little tricky to do in a smaller smoker. That is where a Smokehouse comes in handy. I love my smoker for pulled pork and fatties and an occasional chicken, but use the smokehouse for the bigger projects.

I go down to Taylors Island M.D. in the Chessy during the summer. We love to catch and eat North Alantic Croaker, also known as hardheads. We flay and skin the fish. A lot goes into the deep fryer, but I set some aside for smoking. Here is What I brine them.
THis is for approx 4 lbs of fish

Absolutely! One thing to remember is try not to exceed 150 degrees internal temp, as I think the casings get kinda tough to chew. Also I find that the Cabela casing don't seperate from the stix, like other casing do. So be ready to get yur jaw exerized.
I start at about 80 to 90 degrees for about 2 hours, then very slowly raise temps so that internal temp reaches 150 over an 10 to 12 hour period. In the Lebanon valley we smoke low and slow.
