    I still need to do something about the cheap 128169 wheels. I thinking that making a dolly with sides and strapping the smoker down to it. What did everyone else do? JD

    Yeah, I have the two burner also. The cast iron pan was the first thing I added, I haven't found the sweet spot for it yet. I have purchased some Nomax felt from Amazon and some foil backed insulation from Lowe's. I'm not sure what to do with the water pan and it's rack. I have some foil...

    I did the dish washer for a while, but it seemed to remove the chrome and I got some rust.  I have since replaced them and haven't used the dishwasher.  After three years, shiny and new.  JD

    Muddydogs, I have always brought the racks in and washed them by hand, then sprayed with PAM and reused. I did get a gas grill a few years back, but never tried using it for cleaning up my smoker grills. Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try! JD

    For what it's worth, I've had it happen several times and it hasn't killed me yet. I have been using smaller pieces ( under 2 lb) and have had fewer problems. YRMV JD

    I have a 40" first gen, with a window. I clean rarely, but when I do, I use easy off oven cleaner. Than soap and water, just in case. All the best JD
