    Anyone here own a Green Mountain pellet grill?

    I've got a GMG Daniel Boone..have had it now going on 3 years LOVE IT!  so easy to use, and produces wonderful end products no matter what you are cooking. Chicken, ribs, pork butt, turkey.  I DO have a Amaze N tube smoker that I'll light and set on the grate if I want a serious smoke to my ribs...

    So...you tapped the WEBER LID on each time? and that shaped the outer lip of the pot??  I was thinking of laying the pot on it's side with the outer lip on a hard surface and then hitting down on the inner edge as I turned the pot to compress the outer ring/lip a bit.  Right now there's no way...

    Dunno about that..I retired my 30 without window LONG ago...I had the company send me two digital control units over my ownership and the thing never worked correctly. Don't get me wrong, it was OK when it worked..but I don't think I'd own another one.

    Smoking on the BGE?

    I smoke all the time on my Avacado Kamado.  Super easy...I DO use a stoker unit....but as said above..I fill the bottom with Lump charcoal..throw in 3 or 4 pieces of my selected smoking wood, and start a few coals in a chimney, then dump it in...close the lid, and set the stoker to run anywhere...
