Dirt; The ridge is 6" wide with 3/4" of vent space and a little over 8' long the whole thing is only a 8x10. The egg will go on the back side in the nest for now, next will be more brick/paver's between the shed floor and the back porch where the egg is now.

Still in the making but see a smoke problem, even with it open and a ridge vent to much smoke is staying in the shed. Need more upward draw, got any ideas?

Thanks for the welcome from the forum another Fl Boy for the welcome. Had to pick the last of the Jalapeno's Sunday and made Cowboy Candy before the 25 deg's last night wiped out the last of the peppers and Thai/Sweet Basil's.
Brooksy Hope weather gets back to normal before you get up here, today low 40's and blowing 20-25 mph. Going into mid 20's tonight could a new record low for us, not cold by some folks on here but darn cold for a old Fl boy.
