Just wanted to share a few pics of my build. They are the very beginning stages but to give an idea of what I'm doing. don't mind the mess! lol
Dave, looks like my top seem is more on top than the recommended 3-5" down that you had said, do you think this will be a problem?

That is my thought, I was thinking 2 supports, my tank is 3ft round. My door opening will be approx. 55" L x 20" W, may be a little bigger on the width.
Trippy, yeah that helped on knowing why. I appreciate your input.
Dave, thanks that is what I'm looking for, my tank walls are only like 1/8in what thickness would you recommend for the support ribs?
Trippy, i am just using a cut off wheel on a 4 1/2 in angle grinder- i guess inshoukd clarify that the metal didnt really warp. It more of kinda sprung if that makes sense.
I dont feel like it got real hot but i am not a metal expert or metal curring expert whatsoever so i probably just dont...
Alright, so after a ton of planning and patience I am beginning my build, I really cant wait to get thing running!!! I will get some pics up as soon as I get a chance but I have a question that hopefully someone can answer or give advice on.

But can...
Weedeater, I know it does, and I probably already knew that. I guess I was hoping someone would say that it should be ok! lol
I wonder what an oversized firebox would do, what problems it would bring up?
Fred, that's a good idea that I didn't think of may check into that.
UPDATE: So the fabrication of my firebox is not happening, the fabricator is dragging his feet and I feel like I have waited long enough. i mean its been almost 5 months.
I do not have the skills or equipment to fabricate the box myself and this seems like the best option for me, I just dont...
You all make this sound so easy!! lol.
cmayna you make it look easy!!! How long have you been welding?
Another question, What if I like Dirtsailor2003 don't have the ability to run a 220 circuit to my shed?
Alright!!! you have all convinced me!!! I will stay away from the harbor freight stuff!!! Although some of the other tools seem decent for smaller things. I don't plan on really welding anything thick. My thought is I will be using it to weld straps, hinges, handles, dampers, etc... I am a...
