    I wouldn't oil it until after the initial burn. Otherwise, you might lock some of the manufacturing chemicals in, which will be slowly released as the oil wears off.

    First make sure the temp gauge is accurate. If it is accurate, then call Smoke Hollow. They should send you the parts you need free of charge.
