I use the 7lb Hakka that Tallbm posted. It holds about 6 lbs. Wooden dowels to get whats left in the stuffing tubes and run that and whats left in the elbow thru a jerky gun. Get a set of bottle brushes for cleaning the tubes also.
I've had mine for a week or two. Its a good size for a couple people and a great option for apt dwellers. It does get hot! IIRC the grill temps are low-400*, med-450* and high-500*. It cooks in about half the time a normal grill would. Its nice for adding a little smoke to burgers or whatever. I...
I've been replaying all of the Borderlands games. I beat all of them on PC but playing on a 65 inch screen (PS4) adds to the mayhem. Currently on BL 3, playing as Moze.
I was looking for the chips yesterday and found that Amazon carries their pellets. Seems like the chips are harder to find and I didn't see them on their website. May be that they're just doing pellets now.

The Great Gig In The Sky solely because of Clare Torrey's vocals. They brought her into the studio, gave her the sheet music, and said its about dying. Sing it without using words. It took one take...
I was going to upgrade to a larger Smokin-It awhile back but things got in the way. I was going to go with the analog smoker and add an Auber PID because with the integrated version if something goes wrong with the PID, you're dead in the water. With the analog smoker you can still use it sans...
I smoke for 3-4 hrs using Pecan dust. I'm looking for an old Big Chief smoker that I can use for cold smoking. Here's a blast from the past with a lot of info.

I have a #1 and use their WSD-1200GPH which is also $20 more than the 1211H. The only thing I that I know of that relates to the Bradley smoker is that both have an extra outlet on the back for the Bradley smoke generator that in no way interferes with using it for the #1, it's just there. The...
If you want to try it fairly inexpensively to see if its some thing you want to do, the Monoprice Strata can be had for $50 with free shipping. With that thought in mind I bought one 6 yrs ago just to see if I liked it. Shortly after, Anova closed out their 900 watt line and I picked one of...
I just put an 8 lb hunk in the sous vide this afternoon. I'll pull it in 24 hrs or so for sandwich meat. Local Winco had them for $2.97 a lb today and I think I'll go snag another (or two) tomorrow for jerky.
If you decide to update your fan, AC Infinty has a good line of fans and a controller and is what I went with. They're pricier now, just depends what you want spend. My #1 is quite a bit smaller than your 3.5 and the Axial 1225 (51 CFM) works well for me with the controller set to medium. They...
You can build a jerky dryer for little money and effort using a PC fan and a short piece of PVC pipe. There isn't much to it and I think that there are some how-tos on the Smokin-It forum.
I was using Google Fi (T-mobile and Sprint) which ran $20-22 a month and it ran hreat. I moved 2 miles down the road and I had to go outside to talk on the phone plus sometimes took 3-4 tries to get a call to go thru. Which would kind of suck if you were calling 911. I switched to a Verizon...
I had mine in 2006. I was working a sit down job, not getting any exercise. Worked swing shift, and I'd stop at the burger joint on the way to work and get a burger for lunch and another for dinner. I quit smoking either right before, during, or right after the heart attack. Still ended up with...
1st visit with a new cardiologist he mentioned red meat and I told him I eat plenty and smoke a lot of pork, sausages etc. He furiously started flipping thru papers and I knew he was looking for the blood test from the day before. He started to say, "your cholesterol level is...". Yeah, 116...
