LEM, Waltons, Nesco, ps seasoning, high country, Owens, and high mountain are all good commercial seasonings

It's Fryday! Chicken and waffle fries

Wow does that meal look delicious!! My wife won’t let me fry food inside due to the smell and the mess I make. Could do it in the garage though. Will be on the lookout for that Korean batter. Looks tasty. I might try it on fish too

    Ground Beef Jerky 2 ways

I prefer whole muscle jerky, but Nesco original makes a really nice mild venison jerky.. it is about the only ground jerky I really liked after trying several brands and recipes

    Homemade roast beef

Any cut of round ( top, bottom, eor)makes great roast beef and jerky. Pretty much any lean cut of beef is what you are looking for.

It might be challenging backing that big pontoon down the ramp with the RV. Beautiful boat though!

My first sausage - Three ways

Sausage looks good. What kind of vac sealer did you decide on? A dedicated stuffer is a lifesaver for me and makes the process much more enjoyable.. very nice job on the sausage!!

    Favorite frozen pizza

Peps Drafthaus is my favorite frozen pizza currently being made. 7th Ave, Heggies, or Red Baron are fine in a pinch. Pizza Corner used to be the greatest frozen pizza ever but unfortunately they sold out to Bernatellos and now they are barely edible. Bernatellos is much like Johnny Morris and...

    DougE's breakfast sausage

Thanks for sharing the recipe. I plan to make a batch soon. Have you ever tried it with 50/50 venison, pork? Wondering if you think it would work. I’ll probably just stick with pork butt the first go round.

    Outdoor fryer

Wow, a guy would have to take out a bank loan to fill that thing with oil with todays prices! Very nice fryer though!

    New Air Fryer Help

Hello, Our Nuwave air fryer just died after 5years of hard use (1 kid eats chicken nuggets about 4 times a week). We are looking for a dedicated air fryer. Is it better to pay for a certain one or do you go cheap and just replace when they die? I don’t mind spending for one that works good...

    The Weber 28” griddle arrived!

Nice rig and nice review! If Weber would’ve come to the market sooner or if I didn’t already have a blackstone I would probably try the Weber. No complaints with the blackstone after 3 years regarding performance, but fit and finish is a little sloppy.

How long will cooked vac sealed brisket slices last in the deep freeze?

I agree with Al. Eating food that has been vac sealed and frozen is always safe to eat. It’s just the quality of taste and texture degrades over time.

    Venison Stix

@Fueling Around what part of NW MN are you in? That is my general local also. Crookston, Karlstad, and Thief River Falls all have nice shops but no kill butchers anymore like you said. @BGKYSmoker those are some darn good looking sticks that I’m sure taste just as good. Nice job 👍

What's your favorite off-the-shelf/store-bought barbecue sauce?

Blues Hog championship sauce is good if you are looking for sweet.

    Crispy Chicken Skin

I would try a Tish hotter than the 325 finish. Bump up to 375-400 for the finish and it should be nice and crispy
