    Thats pretty much what im doing with the burner out of the hibachi. Except, it wont be sticking out of the air intake door. It will be out the opposite side in a permanent fixture. That way i can still use mesquite when i want to. Hows the snow over there??

    Have you tried a local propane dealer?? Many of them have tanks that are no longer safe for gas use, and if your smooth enough.. they may give you one for free!
