I did some 2 weeks ago on my Traeger at smoke setting and it was done in 4-5 hours. 12 hours is way too long. I did 2 batches in less time than that.
I didn't use any cure. It should be good for up to a month in the fridge. I did 6 lbs of 2 different flavors. They are both very good and almost...
I used Purple Power degreaser mixed with water in a spray bottle and a fiber pad the other day and it easily cleaned off like 8 smokes or more of tar from the walls.
Ok, thanks Dave. I saw in another thread where you use gravel or sand covered with foil instead. That's a good idea. Thanks for the explanation. I probably won't have to relight the AMNPS ,as it goes out occasionally most likely because of the moisture.
May sound dumb but here goes . Should I not use my waterpan while using the AMNPS in my MES 30 because the humidity will keep it from burning properly? Just curious
With an AMNPS the chiptray will just become ductwork for the cold air intake to make it breathe. Get the free replacement but try and get the AMNPS and some pellets.
Kind of late but.....I think you need to get the moisture out of the dust or pellets by putting them in the microwave for a minute or so on high before you go to use them.
I fry the bologna with onions and pour scrambled eggs in and top it all off by melting mozzarella cheese on it. I get the bologna from Speers butcher shop here by Bangor. You should have an idea where Bangor is Sam. It's about 8 miles in from Portland, Pa.
