I remember all 20 of these, but I already knew I was older than dirt. On # 15, before there was a number prefix, it was just four numbers (ours was 4264, and an operator connected all calls for you).
I think I'll pass on the chocolate gravy thing, at least until I've tried just plain biscuits and gravy. I first heard of biscuits with gravy from a dear friend who grew up in the South (can't remember where just now, but as soon as I post this, I'll remember). In reference to the North vs the...
I've never had biscuits and gravy of any sort (Northerner) although I swear I'm going to someday. Chocolate gravy, is that really chocolate, or just how it looks?

OK, I made a slightly different version of @chopsaw's soup last night and it was amazing. I think it had a lot to do with using the tomato sauce, and cooking said sauce a bit before adding other ingredients. I didn't add any meat, and the vegetables were just a crummy bag of mixed veggies that...
Great picture, I'm in awe of your dog staying out of the sausages. My old Dobes would've grabbed them and lead us on a merry chase all around the house, and they would've been swallowed before I could ever catch one of them.
