Hi SMF friends,
My family and I will be in Tampa, Orlando and Pompano this summer and, as we now reside in the UK, need to stuff as much BBQ into our mouths as possible in the 3 weeks we are Stateside.
We would be very grateful for any recommendations. Thanks in advance,

Hi Mr V, I enjoy a bit of offset smoking as well, and although i burn mostly wood, i have fairly recently moved from briquettes to lumpwood form my base fire. It gets up to temp quicker and leaves a lot less ash - helpful when you are doing a 12 hour cook. I have noticed that if i leave the...
Hi, I would say rubs are the same - the basic spices you will probably have at home. If you don't want to make the rub entirely from scratch, Season-all is a good foundation. Mix it up with some brown or demerara sugar and perhaps some black pepper and paprika - really up to your imagination...

Ah I see, Danny, that you are experiencing the annual "why did I move to the seemingly wettest and greyest place on the planet" February introspection. 128512 Don't worry, you are not alone and spring is just around the corner!
It's pretty nasty down here as well, but trying this butt today. As long as I have a ball cap I don't mind hopping out in the rain to put another log on.
