    First Reverse Flow Build! (Patio)

Sounds like your plasma doesn't have a drag tip. Most plasmas need to be held just above the cutting surface to keep slag from blowing back in the tip.

    Local NC Pit Builder

Ok guys, somebody stop me if this violates forum rules but some of you NC members may be interested.  I own and operate a custom fab shop in Salisbury, NC building custom cookers. I also do repairs. If anyone is looking for a new smoker shoot me a PM. Being a small custom shop I can build...

SmokinWelders First Smoker Ever!!!! 250 gallon/trailer build

$125 sounds like a steal for that set up. 80" is a little wide for a smoker but that leaves plenty room for a storage are.

    MONSTER direct heat charcoal/wood grill.

I built this cooker for a friend. This was a photo from the first cook with it. Cooked a total of 80 butts for a fundraiser event I believe. Meat turned out great.

SmokinWelders First Smoker Ever!!!! 250 gallon/trailer build

Hard to tell without actually measuring the bolt circle, but it looks larger than the standard 4 - 4 trailer bolt pattern. It is probably going to be hard to find rims if those are rusted through.

    exhaust??

Keep in mind you can always close the damper on the exhaust pipe if you have to much airflow. However, you can't make the pipe any bigger if you don't have enough. That being said, I always go bigger than necessary on the exhaust diameter.

They work great. I used 4" schedule 40 pipe so each door has about 35 lbs of counterweight.

    500 Gal. Reverse Flow Build

Thanks Dan, Here are a few more photos. Looks like progress is slow but I am down to the smaller, time consuming details now. Planning to have it ready to smoke a few briskets this weekend. Finished up the counterweights. At first, I didn't care for the counterweighted look, but after seeing...

New member to the group and forum from Salisbury, NC. Loving the site so far. Truly a great wealth of knowledge.  To all of the Facebookers, be sure to like my page https://www.facebook.com/CaublesCustomFabricationLlc  and comment on some of the builds. I like getting feedback from fellow smokers.

Wood stove for a smoke chamber?

Check on local Craigslist ads. You should be able to find a much heavier wood stove for about the same price.

Made some progress. New wheels, tires, and fenders. Also fabricated some counterweights. They are just tacked on for now and will be braced better.  Also added on a new party grill for doing some burgers and dogs.
