Here is a pic of my chicken thighs, I brined them first , then olive oil and jeffs rub. They came out moist . I tried to use the AMNPS but couldn't get it to stay lit , so wound up using Hickory in the chip try every 30 minutes. I actually think I would have liked it smoked only for first hour...
Today I tried removing the chip tray, crushing some pellets and sprinkling them on the bottom then layer of pellets then more crushed, then more pellets etc.. also pulled the loader halfway out.. over 2 hours of smoke. Also i put the amnps so it had clearance in front and behind. No food...
i tried a bunch of these suggestions yesterday , with and MES 30 Gen 1 i just got, still not luck. Havent tried letting the tray be 1.5" from the back yet though. If you use an aquarium pump through a hole what kind of tube did you put through the hole.
I grew up in NJ so i know what you mean, this summer has been mild here until a couple weeks ago then high nineties and high humidity. I am not expecting my electronics to last more than a couple years even in the shop because i have to replace the electrical outlets and swithches every 3 or 4...
Mine has arrived at Tractor Supply , going to pick it up then season it. I am thinking i might just leave it in my shop too , put a fan on low behind it when its on so not too much CO2 in the shop and leave the door open.
