Hello from Indiana, welcome to SMF. Even high temp paint will usually peel when around that kind of heat. Just wire brush and give it a new spray coat once in a while to keep the rust from getting too deep.

Finished filling screw holes, made a few patches and finished fabricating the grate brackets. Everything was sealed with high temp silicone before final mounting.

looks great. I learned the hard way a couple years ago that I should not place a pizza stone directly on the grill grates. It busted into about 20 pices about 10 minutes in.
