    Lang 36" knock off.

Hey there guys. I've been smoking and making smokers for a few years with good success. My son has a project for school and it involves welding!!! I've made a reverse flow from scrounged parts and was great, although I was made a offer I couldn't resist, so it's sold. I want to make a copy...

Well I did a few cooks with the 2.5" chimny and I had a hard time getting thin blue smoke, it seemed like the cc was backed up with smoke, so, me being the can't let something not be right I swapped out the 2.5"@ 49" for a beefy 3" @ 38" and wow what a diffrrence. Worked awesome nice smoke all...

To wood or not to wood, how is everyone running their rf offsets?

I did one chimny and added wood (beech and maple) to maintain temp for a 8hour pulled pork cook this weekend. Wood is plentiful where I am as I burn as main heat for the house. Worked well and easy to control temp by adding one stick per hour. Thanks guys.

My first build, help me please! reverse flow

Hello and good luck.  I can give some of what i went through on my build and hopefully some of it helps. in terms of the over sized inlets, be careful,  i thought the same and had to redo my fire box, i was unable to get temps below 300f. As for the steel 1/8 will be ok if your running...

    Buttermilk hot sauce marinade.

You could accually put more in. My 9year old son loved it and he's not to keen on hot stuff. With the one cup it's pretty mild. I was 250f in the smoker I just built until I hit 170f. Then let rest. I recomend it, it's really good chicken.

    Buttermilk hot sauce marinade.

no that is no Misprint . It's one cup of Tabasco sauce or equivalent i.e. Frank's hot sauce or something like that. I'm in Canada and at Costco we get big bottles of Tabasco sauce probably about a cup and a half per bottle.

    Buttermilk hot sauce marinade.

I did a whole bird on the weekend with this marinade that turned out amazing. I find sometimes a salt brine changes the texture of the meat, this marinade produced a amazing bird. 4 cups buttermilk 1 cup Tabasco or equivalent 1tbs each pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt...
