    MES 40 in side garage.

I wish my Daddy had known you couldn't burn wood indoors. I had to cut wood for the fireplace and a cook stove.

    Need help deciding.

No, I'm sure I probably could but I already have the Lang so I guess it would be over kill to use 2 smokers.

I'm beginning to think the oven is the best option. I think about 3 hrs on the Lang then covered to retain moisture and finish in the oven. If we are talking about a Butt, I normally cover after about 3 hours in the lang running about 250 degrees in the smoker.

That's the one I am looking at. Sam's Club has it for $300 +tax. I just wonder how will be the best way to use it. I'm thinking that I could smoke the first few hours on the Lang to get my smoke flavor then use the MES without smoke to finish to internal temp of 205. I am assuming I can set...

    MES 40 in side garage.

Would it be safe to use a MES 40 inside my garage? The floor is concrete.

    Need help deciding.

I am in a quandry! I have a Lang 36 patio stick burner and like the smoker a lot. What I don't like is 12-18 hour cook times for some items using the "low and slow" method. The thought on my mind is: What if I used the stick burner for the first few hours (3-6) to get plenty of smoke then...

Best smoker for around $350 or less?

The Brinkmann is the only cheap one I have owned. Maybe some of the others have experience with other brands. I bought the Brinkmann for 200 with tax, used it once now have it up for sale. I decided to buy a Lang and I have really enjoyed it. It's a lot more than a Brinkmann but, what the...

Best smoker for around $350 or less?

That is really a loaded question.  First you need to ask your self several questions, one of which you have already answered. Less than $300 narrows it down a lot. Next question, do you want wood/charcoal, gas or electric? All of them have their good/bad points. I started out grilling on a...

What is the best blender or device to mix rub in?

I would think it depends on how much you plan to make in a batch and what equipment you already have. I use my 11 cup Cuisinart food processor. But, if I was buying just for spice it would be overkill.
