Great job on them! They look AWESOME!! Went to Port Washington, WI this weekend and brough back 8 kings/cohos. I have a recipe that the family has used for years, but I'm definitely going to use Bearcarver's Step-By-Step for some of them!
Last Friday I got home a little earlier from work than normal and decided to make some supper for the wife and kids. After looking around on SMF I decided to do a couple yard bird fatties. These would be my first fatty. I did one that was a cordon bleu fatty and a buffalo chicken fatty. ...
Luckily I found the fridge for pretty cheap. You could always get one with the plastic interior and just take it out and just create your own interior box. Use some 16 gauge sheet metal and then weld it together. That way you'd have the shell and door.

I am going to be smoking my first whole chicken and am looking for any opinions on whether or not I should spatchcock it or just leave it whole as is? Also, if you have any smoking suggestions (times and temps) or any rubs that turned out great for you please let me know! Thanks!

Just wanted to take a minute to say what an AWESOME site this is!!! I am new to the site, but love using my smoker. I love to hunt and fish and have been using an electric Masterbuilt smoker now for 5 years. I could only do small amounts at a time and wanted to expand my smoking endeavors. ...
