Wood stove for a smoke chamber?

Rusty I know someone on this forum has done a center FB build and it was reported to work very well, but I can't remember who.  I do remember reading the build, though.  Maybe someone else knows who it was or perhaps you can find it.  Sorry, I don't remember.

SmokinWelders First Smoker Ever!!!! 250 gallon/trailer build

Picking the tank is the easy part.  Cutting into is a little trickier.  My suggestion would be to fill it with water and dish detergent, let it sit for a day r two so the area can air out a bit, then cut the firebox opening with a 4 inch grinder.  There is a great video on youtube of a guy doing...

    WOOOOO - FREAKING - HOOOOO!!!!!!

Rasimmo - Thanks for the help but I think your lawyer added that bit at the end.   Welder - I am pretty excited myself.  It has been a long time coming.  I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. Workman - That was something I heard a long time ago.  I honestly don't remember where.  I think it...

    WOOOOO - FREAKING - HOOOOO!!!!!!

They are 36 x 120.  yes they will have separate FB's.  I was wondering about the airflow.  Specifically if there was really any actual advantage to putting air inlets above the fire.  If so, are the inlets below the fire still needed?  Are the upper openings included with the total volume...

    WOOOOO - FREAKING - HOOOOO!!!!!!

Both of my trailers will be open with a removable awning over them.  A 250 tank would be fine, but I got the 500's for $100 each.  That was a deal I could not pass up.  I do want o talk with you about firebox designs though.  PM me when you get the chance.

Rib, I will be doing the 500 gallon tanks, but I can't afford a truck to pull such a big trailer at the moment.  I do keep a constant eye out for one though.  If anyone knows where I can find a 3/4 ton truck in good shape, let me know.  In the meantime I will be building a smaller version with...

I think they changed the law for 2013.  I read it before and you didn't need one, but when I went back to read it again, I couldn't find it.  I am going to keep checking.  I do know that Florida will waive the fee for your first license if you are a veteran who has only been discharged for 24...

    WOOOOO - FREAKING - HOOOOO!!!!!!

Thanks TJ.  If you are an honest person, it really is difficult to get help.  The folks at SS office actually told me to lie so I could get more.  I promptly walked out of their office and reported it to the local local legislature.  I do not want to be part of that problem so I have no plans to...

It is really impressive.  I don't think I would have the talent or the patients for something like that.

Thanks guys it does feel great to be able to stop at McDonald's and not feel guilty about it.   Wizzard, my business is going to start out as a simple vending thing.  I will work the events in the area.  If all goes well, I will start an actual catering business next year.  I figure this is a...

    WOOOOO - FREAKING - HOOOOO!!!!!!

Although it was a day late, we received the best Christmas gift we could have wished for.  We checked our account today saw a deposit from the US Treasury.  The VA disability has finally come through.  The deposit was for the back pay going all the way back to when I filed my claim.  After more...

    My 1st RF build

If you like a nice brown crispy skin on your chicken and turkey, I have some advise.  Try cooking them at 325 for the entire cook.  They will not dry out and will be a beautiful brown color.  I usually don't split mine and the skin between the leg and body is crispy like a thin potato chip...

    150 Gallon RF Rig...Upgraded!

Honestly, this is one of the best I have seen.  It is so very close to what I had in mind for mine that it's scary.  Can we get a pic of the inside of the cooker?
