    Wild Cherry Wood

    I've used cherry.  Great flavor! However, it burns about twice as fast as other woods.  That's the major downside.

    Lang 60 Deluxe

    What type of wood are you using and how big are the pieces?  I use more than that in my 36 as well.  I usually feed 2-3 logs every 20-30 minutes if I'm using oak or maple.

    Sad day my Lang came today...

    Ya the food was amazing and turned out perfect.  It is tough to get the temp up to start it out...but once it's there it's so easy to maintain using the right cut of wood.  The Cherry was very small and the maple/oak I used today was a lot bigger.  With the Maple/Oak the pieces were about 24"...

    Sad day my Lang came today...

    Ok guys here are the final results from the weekend.  Al I hope you like these pictures...  I smoked the shoulder with cherry wood, great flavor, but man what a pain to keep feeding that thing every 10-20 minutes with wood..that thing burns hella fast.
