    Secret Recipes (A Rant)

Do you out of the blue just get a want for a taste you had long ago: Back in the 60's (high school soph.) I worked as a short order cook at a drive-in. We made a chicken Q sandwich that was soooooo good that it outsold burgers or beef Q sandwiches. The recipe had to be followed to the letter...

Got it too! But most sites don't allow a member to PM more the 3 per hour and there has to be a 5 min. wait between PM's. Why don't we have that here?

    Other Hobbies

No time for hobbies right now with grandkids - Breanna 9 - Madison 4 - Dylan 9mo. Favorite hobby is fishing and going to fish gatherings - that is what lead me to SMF. Other hobbies include camping, woodwork and model trains. A hobby I would like to start along with smoking meat is DO cooking.

My wife said to soak it in milk for 8 hours and if the texture isn't desirable then make a salmon patty adding crackers and egg and grill them.

    Brinkman Smoke'N Grill

Don't have a pic. but here is a scan from the instruction manual. It shows a reflector plate in bottom with electric heat coil above that. It says to put 3 chunks or 1 1/2 cups of chips soaked on ref-plate for smoking. Is this normal for electric smokers or is there a better way to do this...

    Avatar change

Rich - If they watched the HBO special on M and OS, then and only then would they understand. If you are a fan of either, then you would understand why a loose to the other is a stab to the hart! Kind of like what it means to a diehard wood smoke cook forced to use gas? Now maybe they...
