    a new smoker brand ?

They are not new, but I believe they copied Langs smokers and added some inprovements plus a little more craftyness---the Amish in PA build them. Also, they cost a lot more, but if your near PA, it might be worth getting one in lieu of havin a LAng shipped from GA. There are more than one...

new build of a reverse flow smoker(pics)

Looking great! Whats the diameter, 30" or 24"? Can't wait to see more!! When you cut the doors, take your time so as not to overheat them which can warp em. If you leave a little metal uncut on each side (which would mean the door won't fall out), then let it cool and finish all the cuts...

There was a rumor that Ben is going up on his rates real soon, so if you want thicker steel for the same money---buy now! I am a little bummed his web site hasn't really changed to show newer pics and stuff---but I guess he really doesn't have to market very much since so many of us recommend...

different kind of prime this time!

Maybe you could simply shovel some hot coals on top of the firebox inside your warmer, and just throw a cast iron grill grate in there just below your first warmer shelf? Just an idea, might not be enough clearance with the first shelf? With a hot firebox and hot coals--it would certainly be...
