    I will keep my eyes open for an old oven. If I don't find one I was thinking of purchasing the 1500 w Brinkman replacement element and a PID controller. Any thoughts on this and will the 1500 w element get hot enough in this size smoker?

    Hello From Houston Tx

    New to the Forum and to smoking hoping to learn a few things. Built a backyard pit (wood burning) with firebox and now about to try and build an electric smoker. Will post some pics in the build forum and solicit some ideas I am sure.
