As said it's a holding screwdriver. Great for starting screws in tight quarters. If you like the tool, don't try to tighten screws with it. They are not sturdy enough for that. Not even small screws.
All the freaking time, it's a fact of my life.
So how was it >> Meh ??? Awesome ?? You ate it, so I hope we can rule out dog food.
I ain't worried about how it looks, Taste is king, we can find ways to pretty it up later. For the record I think yours looks great.
I will theorize a bit here. I have never made bacon (only buckboard bacon).
There are 2 methods of curing. A dry brine where the cure is applied as a rub and allowed to sit as it cures. This uses a a smaller measure of cure due to direct contact.
The other method is a wet brine (sometimes called...
I reviewed the pics in the first post. Connect the Black/white connector coming from the powercord shown in the first pic to the red/red shown in the second pic (the end not leading to the black box) and you'll be right as rain.
Reversal of hot and neutral does not matter.
In effect hooking direct to the element and safety wiring is exactly what you are doing.
Some models become easier to do if you can find the proper connections. Look closely for 2 connectors often buried/hidden in the channel between the panels on the...
Where is my crystal ball ??? There it is !!! Hmmm... Me thinks the cat will be inside in less than a week....wait for it...it's getting clearer.. there it is !! 2-3 weeks before you find out or is that a crack ??? Hard to tell.
That changes things dramatically. I'd bet it was homemade. Old time farmers were frugal by necessity. Why would they put store bought beer in if they had far cheaper homebrew available. Home brew was likely far stronger tasting than todays commercial offerings.
Maybe you should look some more...
I make beer brats at work all the time. I have never tasted the beer in them, all I can say is seemed to mute the other spices a bit but no beer flavor or additional tang.
I fail to see the difference between letting the beer "sour" the meat for 3 days and buying 3 day old beer brats. (yes, I...
That will remain to be seen. The gap should only be 1/8 inch. Remember that 1/4 inch wear is 1/8 off from center. all the way around. So 1/8 off the side towards the support plate and another 1/8/ off the opposite side where it is free floating.
I don't think I have ever used one with a blade...
I'm a tight-wad and therefore don't really believe in spending my own money where it don't need to be spent. I will, however- gladly help you spend yours.
At 1/16 over min size, that's 1/32 material left that can be lost to future sharpening . Doesn't sound like much, until you try to grind it...
OK, it was late when I wrote that and there is one more thing I suggest you inspect and grease as needed.
The blade is most likely on a shaft, supported by a bearing at top and bottom. While the drive belt is off, carefully turn the blade and feel for any roughness in movement. If there is any...
As for the motor noise, how bad is it and how comfortable are you with motor disassembly ? You mentioned a belt so I'll assume it is belt drive. Get the belt off and run the bare motor. Use a block of wood against the pulley or shaft to create load and see if the noise changes better or worse...
This where I fell into the "For a few Dollars More" trap. Some of the more expensive ones can have 2 probes. Some are multi-step programable.
I finally bit the bullet for the wifi model (not cheap) largely due the phone app making it far easier to program. It is multi-step programable and it...
Dang, I gotta stop reading this stuff before dinner. That looks so good. Whatever I fix for dinner is gonna leave my mouth watering for what I see on here. This is a prime example.
Unless I mis-understand or there's a typo, 2 Qt's water in 19 lbs meat mix is way too much.
Once it starts to steam off, it creates a cooling effect (hence the stall) heat is leaving the meat as fast as you are applying it. This is going to be a LONG stall.
2 choices, ride it out, however long...
