    MoFo, did it hit 170 in the flat too? If so, did the point raise in temp from the earlier 170, or did it stay the same when the flat went up? Thanks,

    That does (did) look good. My dad always complained about his attempts at jerky on the smoker. I always thought it was too sinuey. I've never tried it, would you recommend the smoker over a dehydrator? How did yours taste? Thanks,
