if you want to control the temperature you will need some method of controlling it, no? Johnson or Ranco off-the-shelf controller, or DIY PID control.- ej0rge

Electric Heating Element
Heating elements are easy - apply power. At those power levels you are going to need to power it with 220vac, which means having a 220v outlet outside your house. Which means hiring an electrician, since you're asking. I am a n00b so i don't know if you need that level of power or not. Since...- ej0rge

Wiring a PID is easy. You can even get PIDs that have their own built in wide-range power supply, which is what i did. It runs on anything from 100vac to 250vac.
