    lima beans

    i love lima beans. a couple pounds of dried limas and some smoked pork neck bones. just enough chicken broth to cover by about 2 inches and simmer all day until just about done. last couple hours remove lid crank up the heat a little an let 'em cook down in their own "gravy".  mighty fine.

    i have seen that somewhere recently i'll check around. you are in harrisburg pa? i was raised in new germantown perry county pa. some mighty fine smallmouth bass fishin around those parts.

    funny but true

    last week i was having a bad day, nothing was going right and i was getting frustrated to say the least. so i said out loud why does everybody hate me? my wife said honey everybody doesn't hate you, a lot of people don't even know you. all i could do was laugh.

    i grew up around a lot of old farmers and it's just the way i learned. don't kill hogs, chickens or steers when the moon is waning or the meat will shrink when cooked up. no black cats in the barn (bad luck). don't back a horse into the barn (it won't come back out) and don't mess with granny...

    Howdy Greetings from southeast Arizona. I spent a lot of time in the kitchen, garden and the smokers outside. I use an Brinkman offset, vertical, and little R2D2 . Currently working on a 3 x3x3 hole in the ground. I'll smoke about anything legal.. I use mostly pecan, mesquite, and apple wood.
