the auger we have in our commercial smoker has almost the same element as the Bradley one above. It sits in the auger about 1" back from the end. As the pellets come down the smolder and then drop off the end where there is...
gorgeous colour. That's the colour I was originally going to paint my current build for a customer. Decided to go with a vinyl wrap instead. Was told it should be ready this week.
Have been getting some messages to show how I set up my controller on my 1srt build and how I'm doing it agian on this build.
I took the controller out if t4o case.
I always take a couple of pics like this so I know how to re-wire it.
Once you've got a couple of pics for reference you...
Has been a while since I update this build.
Have the fridge in mid build now.
Fridge was a little beat up. I pointed out the debts as much as I could and then cleaned it up with some body filler as best I could.
It's off to get a sweet vinyl wrap now. Not sure what it will look like...
You bet. It was pretty easy. I took it out of its case. I took a picture of how it was wired from to the power switch and plugs then disconnected it and just re-wired directly to a new power switch and the element. I'll start posting on my current build in the thread u started a few months...
I'm going to use 1 1/2" steel pipe from a local hardware store that threads on perfectly to the drain so it will extend the drain down and add and elbow so it will reach to the back of the fridge underneath making it easy to reach and use the ball valve.
Fan no, airflow yes. I am using a finned strip heater in my current build.
I used a sink drain under neath the strip heater. It will act as air flow, I'll have a ball valve connected to help control it, and it also will be a drain for cleaning
Why don't you just go electric with the smoke daddy or amzn for all your smoking need. I have a dual auberins controller and an 1500w element and it gets as hit as I want or it stays at ambient temp. Sounds complicated to have 2 heating sources in the same unit.
This the build of the auberins controller mod you were talking a out?
Was easy to do and a only about $25 in a few extra parts above the cost of the controller. Still works out to less than building your own pid if you go with something g that allows the same control options.
