    you can see in the first 2 pics  the sheet metal going under the grill, there is a 8 inch gap below in witch the hottest heat travels then turns up and back to evenly heat the food.  The last pic is the swing out grill for easy reach.

    The grill is pinned in, you pull the pin out of the one leg and the grill swings out 90 degrees for easy working,

    All painted with 2 coats high heat black on the smoker and alluminum on the trailer, just need to mount the lights and we are off to the cook out ;-)

    I had that smoker, what I did was on the left where the hole is to let in the heat , I took a section of black flue pipe 6" left open (not snapped together} drill 1/2 holes starting on the left with set of 6 in a 6" sq. then more as you go to the right and leave the end open, then put it over...

    Yes that's a grill, and it swings in and out, and there is a slide in step for working the smoker,  still have tighten up some welds and then high heat paint. Thanks for the kind words

    That's a 2" wrench, the 1 1/2 just didn't fit the build LOL  Thanks David !
