I have 2 more packer briskets in the deep freezer. I just smoked a 22lb packer last weekend, which has been cut to portion and vac sealed. I'll smoke another brisket june or July. Then maybe 1 more in the fall before winter to hold us over.
I bought a grinder, but it left a weird silver/grey...
Thanks for the link. I actually have 5 smoked briskets under my belt. I'm looking to cut/divide this raw brisket to make 3 or 4 pot roasts vs buying a chuck roast to make said pot roast.
I'm just unsure how to go about it.

Found a link...
So I scored 3x 17lb Angus packer briskets today at 2.00/lb. I would like to cut 1 entire brisket into 1/3rds or 1/4s for pot roast meals. Vac seal each section, put in freezer, then thaw and cook as needed.
I'm unsure of how to cut this packer brisket. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!!
I'm heading to kroger tomorrow am to talk to the meat dept Mgr about buying 2 or 3 more Angus briskets. I'm trying to get a better deal than 4.99/lb on buying 2 or 3.
I may go for 3. Cut one up and use it for roasts. It's cheaper than roast prices.
Here's last night's dinner.
Brisket...
Yeah, this brisket was 80% point.
I missed out... my local kroger had Angus briskets on sale at 4.99/lb. Then last week they marked them down to .99/lb (WTF!!!) I would have bought 2 or 3 and stuffed them in the freezer.
So it was finally warm enought to cook this monster packer brisket. Bought last August at $.99/lb (woo hoo!), and stored at -20f since. It was a 22lb packer brisket.
Put on at 10am at 225*, pulled and wrapped at 170*it at 12:30am. Back in and pulled at 206*it. The point probed butter soft...
I made this same mistake while in vacation. I set my phone (s22+ ultra) up to the best picture it could take. Every single picture was great, except it was too large for any forum upload. So I had to go in and change the camera setting. It still takes super great pics, but not at the MP I could...
My local Kroger has/had brisket (3.99/lb choice (black stamp) packer) cheaper per lb than other roasts $4.99-8.99/lb. I'll wait for 2.99/lb then grab 2. Still sitting on a 24lb monster in the freezer
