    Welcome Dennis, glad to have you with us! I can't offer up any help with the double smoke, but I'm here in Superior (couple miles from Boulder) if you need help with anything else. During the cooler months ahead, find a nice spot in the sun for your smoker (when smoking), it helps keep smoking...

    Welcome KE, good to have you with us. I'm up the road a bit in Superior. I got my smoker at the start of summer, so I've yet to battle the cold myself. I'll take the opportunity to work on a cold smoked salmon, jerky, cheeses, and sausages. Glad you're here with us, enjoy!

    I'm not sure what that is, as my Silver has no such thing. My guess (as good as yours) is that perhaps it is or was some sort of vent for air under the coals. Not sure...
