Maple Wood
how about red maple? I have a ton or red maples in and around my property that I have been using as firewood for the past 8 years and am going to be taking down another 7-8 trees this summer and if anyone recommends it, I'll set some aside for the smoker...?- scruffer

dude, i just got the same thing for my bday and have only used it once, but damn an i hooked! did baby backs, spare ribs and a pork butt and they were awesome. coming up with excuses right now to have another q-fest... congrats and enjoy!- scruffer

Thanks to everyone who gave me great tips, recipes and advice for the maiden voyage of my new brinkman offset smoker! I did a babyback rack, a sparerib rack and a 7lb pork butt for some really tasty pulled sangies! everyone loved the food and left full which is all I could ask for... -
