I own a Davy Crockett and this is what I did to even out the temperature across the grate. I raised up the right side of the grease pans by putting a piece of flat Aluminum Bar inside the grease drain and let the grease trays rest on the flat Aluminum Bar. The Aluminum Bar is about 1 1/2" wide...
I found out how to use the Flame Disk Bowl without your wood catching fire. First remove the Flame Disk Bowl and allow the Smoker to reach your desired temperature. When the desired temperature is reached, open the door and insert the Flame Disk Bowl with the wood in it. Close the door and allow...
Here is photo of a side table that I made for my Weber Kettle. I used the top from my Weber 1800 Side Kick Table and mounted it onto an RV table base and used an RV pedestal Leg. I used the RV table based called ""Porta-Leggs". If you do not want to use the Porta-Leggs, you can use the RV cone...
I contacted Masterbuilt and asked when would the Cold Smoker Kit be available, since it has been out of stock for the past couple of months. The rep said they didn't know when it would be back in stock. I asked was it being discontinued? And was told "something like that". The rep said that...
The Cold Smoker is hard to find. Evidently Masterbuilt only orders a few at a time (from China). One day they are in stock, the next day they are out of stock. The same way with BassPro. I ordered mine from Wal-mart (Site to Store) and it took almost three weeks to get here. A few hours after I...
I attached a Masterbuilt Cold Smoker onto my XL Propane Smoker. I had to make a couple of mods to both. I cut a 3" hole in the XL so that the Cold Smoker would fix. I put a baffle (thin sheet metal plate with a hole in it) on the Chip Tube Screen to reduce the amount of heat applied to the...
Thanks to Todd I'm smoking now. I used stainless steel wire to mount the Tube onto a Hotel Pan Wire Grate, and used 1" steel bolts on the grate so that air could flow all around the Tube. The Tube and Grate sits on the bottom of the Smoker.
I have been a visitor on the Forum for several months and decided to join. I use the following smokers and grills. A Masterbuilt XL Propane, 18.5 Weber Smokey Mountain, an old Brinkmann Smoke'N Pit, 18.5 Weber one touch Gold and a couple other Webers. Thanks for all your help.
I just started using a A-Maze-Tube in my Masterbuilt XL Propane Smoker and it works like a charm. It has been smoking now for about 4 hours and still going strong. I drilled a couple 1/4" holes on the bottom left side of the smoker about 2" from the side and placed the Tube over the holes. It is...
