I have not yet tried, but I have read that you can vacseal and freeze after blanching and shocking.
Going to try next time I make some Caribbean slaw … can never find a small enough head of red cabbage.
I use it on roasted potatoes and in a savory blend rub on chicken. Very rarely make lamb, but great on that.
I need to see if I can get one to grow here … had a large one two houses ago.
Sounds like a great deal. You’ll definitely enjoy it.
I haven’t tried pizza on mine, but think I will since I am looking at thinning my herd. This is supposed to get to 700* and that should be good enough.
Yeah, it’s been a long time. Probably gonna binge cook on this for a while.
The Ninja Woodfire did get me through ok. But these ribs were better than any I’ve done on that. The Ninja pellet firebox only lasts about 40 minutes and a bit of a pain to empty and re-ignite.
I know, an abundance of caution, but it’s perfectly safe to pull before 165* and will be a lot juicier. Just a couple minutes at 155* is fine.

Ok, I gave up waiting for it to cool down, and did the test drive today. The ”feel like” temp is 111*, but guess I saved on the pellets 🥵
The operation was a success. Worked fine, held 230* rock solid for 6 hours for these StLouis ribs. I put them on a pan/rack in case it glitched and I...
So sorry to hear that Al. Who knows, maybe will rekindle down the road. But nature abhors a vacuum, I’m sure you will find something rewarding to take its place.
Might have to change your name to GrillinAl or ChillinAl 😁
Lots of reasons you may not get a smoke ring, nothing to do with the pellets.
An environment with insufficient oxygen won’t produce NO.
A dry surface will prevent the smoke from adhering and penetrating.
At high temperatures (above 140*F) myoglobin will denature and unable to bond with NO.

Just played another of their greatest hits issues the other day. My favorite Motown band. Organizing my records and reminded I also have a multi-disc anthology.
Haven’t watched much lately, but that’s on my list. Do you need to watch Bosch first?
A friend told me Duane Allman Song of the South doc is out now too.
Thought this was worth posting …
I just completed pretty much a complete rebuild of my RT590. It was about 3 years old. Worked great, until …
Months ago I left it out, uncovered and unused, for well over a week in extremely wet weather. My fault.
When I got back to it, entire hopper and...
I saw a very good video posted by a meteorolgist there.
That area has little or no cell service. A NOAA radio is likely the only way they would have gotten the NWS warnings, which were issued.
I don’t know how to share it, but this has happened there before, 1987, similar circumstances and (not as severe)outcomes. Memories are too short. We are not quick learners.
