    Adding to smoker

I bought an electronic pwmm controller to slow it down more. I bought an RV plug with junction box to tie my power from. Also bought solar power pack to use when I don't have truck hooked up. Haven't gotten it all built and put together yet but works great on bench

    Adding to smoker

Here's my smoker. Been adding to it and tweaking ever since I first built on single axle trailer in 2011. Here's what I'm playing with adding. It's 24" wide, 16" deep and 34" tall over all. Thinking of making this with 4 racks and 2 removeable rotisseries. Wanted to do on driver's side but can't...

Been in since 2012. I welded 1/2" rebar to the tank and tied them with wire where they crossed. I also welded a few 1" tall vertical pieces which was prob un necessary but wanted to stay put as many miles as I pull it

    vertical smoker with offset firebox

Seasoned the inside. Very efficient design. Takes less to heat and keep hot than expected. Temps very similar top to bottom. Slightly warmer up high

Rub for Beef? Also, chip type suggestions?

Hickory, alder and mesquite all go well with beef. As far as seasoning goes, a little salt, pepper and garlic powder works well and is simple. Depending on how far you want to go, you could add some paprika, cumin and a tad brown sugar. I personally don't care for a sweet beef. Good luck
