    Mozilla Users

I just upgraded to a new version of Firefox. Now I can't seem to post pics any longer. I always used the "manage attachments" button and then went from there. Now when I click it nothing happens. I have unchecked my pop up blocker, but this doesn't seem to help. Anyone have any suggestions.

    storage ideas

I got one of those plastic patio chests from Sears a few years ago www.suncast.com/productdisplay.aspx?id=468&pid=140. It works pretty well for my charcoal, wood chunks and chips, chimney, foil, tools, gloves, pans, etc. Looking back I think I should have gotten an upright style...

    Finally got my grinder!!

Glad this is working out for you, and you are getting on your way to the sausagiers. I had a bad experience with Cabelas once. Never really got satisfaction. I think it was an isolated experience, and I have since gotten over it. I did get a lot of stuff from Bass Pro for awhile though. It's all...

    snack stick question

My schedule is coarse grind (3/4"), fine grind (3/16"), mix, stuff then sit 24 or so hours. I don't like to add my seasonings before I final grind because I feel the salts, etc are a bit abrasive and corrosive, and can be hard on my plates and knives. Thats just me. Like everyone else in them...

    A Cleaning Question

Yeah, thats one of my pet peeves about discussion forums too. To me thats like walking into a bar, saying that the weather sure sucks, and having everyone shout at you that it has already been discussed. I will say do a search sometimes if I know that a topic has frequently been discussed just...

    Cupcake Chicken....QView

This looks like a great way to do up some chicken thighs. I don't know who the hell Myron is, but I didn't know he or anyone had a patent on chicken?

    Collagen Casing Near Disaster

That sounds like a good deal. I think it was likely my storage that led to my problems. In the future I will vac-pak any collagen casings I get right away, unless I'm going to use them in the next day or so. That was the original plan, then the neighbor and I didn't get to it for about a month.

    A Cleaning Question

Don't apologize for asking a question. Most likely everything has been discussed before. Doesn't mean we can't discuss it again. If we didn't rehash topics, it wouldn't be a discussion forum in my opinion. Anyway, I would avoid automotive degreasers unless it states for stove, bbq, or appliance...

Very nice looking bacon, great color! It is really quite easy and fun to do. Like you I had the most trouble finding bellies, but like you, very well worth it.

    newb question

I've never added up the total, but I'm thinking I've got around $500 or so in my current freezer. These are the main things I had to purchase to make mine work the way I planned it: 1) Heating element, Brinkmann conversion $45 2) Control, Allied/Kenco $160 now (about $120 IIRC when I got it) 3)...

    Care suggestions

I think if I lived in or around salty humidity I'd coat the whole thing in veg. oil. Cosmolene maybe even. It is stainless I belive, so you got that going for you. It wouldn't hurt to coat the innards, walls, grates etc. with Pam type spray or veg. oil. You have to anyway to season it. I...

Can anyone recommend a commercial (non-DIY) smoker?

Yeah, I was thinking that after I posted. I'm sure he meant commercially available, vs. building himself, rather than one made to do commercial volume and quality of work.
