No more Drums as of 8/30/13

I don't work there anymore. 8/30/13 was my last day. You can go there and ask about them at the front desk and I'm sure they will help you. 1100 N. 7th Street.

Slow motion reverse flow 300 gal.

Honestly I was talking about the RF plate itself. I believe that by doing it this way and lowering it as Dave said, you will not need the additional heat shield. Build a dam across the front so that you create a volume that can be filled with water as an option. Take a quick look back at my...

Slow motion reverse flow 300 gal.

What if you tapered it to a low spot center front, similar to the way mine is tapered to a low spot to the extreme left and centered front to back. My thinking being that as the heat raises and travels the path of least resistance, it would in effect solve both issues by distributing heat more...

No more Drums as of 8/30/13

Well, The fat lady is belting one out!  I've accepted an employment offer in White Bluff, TN. This Friday is my last day working in West Memphis! I have no idea how many drum have found new homes as a result of this thread, but it's a bunch. Way more than I ever anticipated. I'm on my way to...

No more Drums as of 8/30/13

Sorry guys, I have no way to ship these drums. And because there is still a little left over printing ink in them, I suspect trying to ship would fall under some federal regulation that I'm not prepared to deal with.

No more Drums as of 8/30/13

Don't want to give anyone the impression that I'm not responding on this thread. I am mostly by Private Messages. We're still emptying drums all the time and don't see any reason for that to change. It is interesting to me hearing all the different uses for these drums. Seems that several have...

I love BBQ! I've got some tools! I kinda have to build one, don't I ?

I had a feeling Dave would have the answer to that question. A true wealth of knowledge. Thank you sir.

I'm not sure. I know that a gas stove needs a different orifice when switching between natural gas and propane. But something like this isn't nearly as critical and may work just fine. Maybe someone else on here will chime in with a more knowledgeable answer.

No problem! However, I ride a motorcycle to work unless it's raining. If you can wait until a rainy day, I'll bring them home in my truck. I'll PM you my cell and we can work something out.

New Toy - Ebay PID controller

I don't know how universal these settings are from one controller to another, but this unit came preset at: P = 0030 I = 0240 D = 0060 P  depends on the present  error, I  on the accumulation of past  errors, and D  is a prediction of future  errors, based on current rate of change. Because...

New Toy - Ebay PID controller

Actually, I just looked and he's either out of this model or discontinued it. Seems I bought the last one. He has other versions on ebay now. Might be worth contacting him and asking. The model I have is called Golden Dog. Here is a link to what he is currently...

New Toy - Ebay PID controller

OK, ever since building my smoker I've been looking a these temperature controllers. They're pretty much all not in my budget if I want to keep the peace on the home front. Then I saw this one on Ebay selling out of China. The first thing that caught my attention was obviously the price of $99...
