    Took off seal tonight. No metal ridge. It is smooth all around. Stuff smelled like ashphalt. Glad it is gone. Who wants that in their meal? Ordering seal and keeping fingers crossed. WAZ

    Checked with retailer.......he said boy thats an old one. Said he could send me a replacement "O" ring from a new unit and that it might fit. Also said I could buy a new unit........I offered to trade him and he wouldn't take the deal. Oh well. I will probably run with Dave's idea...

    I'm looking for a number but can't seem to find anything but "9 Liter F. Dick" as is cast on  the drive head of the unit. Any idea on where it would be hidden? WAZ
