    New RecTeq Backyard beast

Most places, yes. That was my main consideration when I was looking. The bylaws here forbid only charcoal, and propane-where the bottle/tank is larger than 1 lb. So as far as I can see, I'm in the clear. Plus I'm on the top floor, corner unit; and the deck is well away from my two next door...

    New RecTeq Backyard beast

Thanks! Just hope that I'll be able to afford to buy some beef by then. I still have a pork butt in the freezer; probably start with that, or some chicken.

    New RecTeq Backyard beast

Not officially. I own it, but am still at my apartment for now. I could've broken the lease and owed 2 months rent in penalties, or stay and pay 1 month of rent. So I chose the latter, and am using that time to renovate the condo. Smoker is being shipped straight to the condo, though.

    New RecTeq Backyard beast

Put in my order today. Now it feels like waiting for Christmas to come. Got $100 off, but that didn't even cover the sales tax for WA state. But hey, free shipping, so I can't complain too much.

Use Kroger coupons and coupons from the Kroger family of stores from nation wide weekly ad digital coupons at your local Kroger

That's the most likely reason for one of them. I've seen homeless addicts walk out with merchandise many times, and the employees aren't allowed to stop them. The other one, I have no idea why. It's in an affluent neighborhood, and is always very busy every time I've been there.

    More from my local diner

A drunk driver was running from the police yesterday, and crashed into a building across the street from this diner. One killed, the other one injured. Poetic, no?

    Brisket Price?

Shoot, when I first started smoking, around 2010, I could pick up a brisket at the local restaurant supply store for $1.49 lb. I know things have gone up, but nearly quadruple?

Didn't plan on making brisket today, but I did.

You wasted a perfectly good work day. Good for you!! :emoji_laughing:

Saw this in Costco today. Are they getting brisket from China now? $5.49 a pound? And that's Choice!

    This weather here.....dang!

Nothing too unusual in the Seattle area. It's been fairly dry with temps mostly in the 60's & 70's. Had a week where it almost hit 90°, but last Friday in Everett it was 65°, raining, and humidity was still 86%. Weird.

    Who remembers these?

Funny, I don't remember beer balls at all. Of course, most of my 20's are a blur now. I do remember drinking plenty of this.
