    Weber kettle prices.

My 22 is over 40yo and it's the only cooker I don't cover. There is zero rust or chipping of the porcelain. Maybe they don't make 'em like they used to???

    Favorite Store Bought Hot Sauces

I'll nominate a couple: 1. The Pepper Plant Original (California Style) Hot Pepper Sauce isn't incredibly hot; it just has a very nice flavor. (They make one out of haban~eros instead of jalapen~os if this one's too mild for you.) Excellent on eggs or hash browns. 2. Walmart's Great Value...

The Big Texan Steakhouse (Amarillo, TX) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I used to prefer Lone Star Grill on the south side of town but quality there has been slipping. BT never lets me down. (Funny how the locals prefer Salt Grass and some of the chains on the west--rich--side of town.) Burgers are great too. Everything's a buck or two off before 4:30pm or so on...

    Weber kettle prices.

These last AT LEAST a full generation so don't hesitate buying used if the $100+ new price is restrictive. Replacement parts are plentiful as well.

What is this thing? I would appreciate any info about this

It looks homemade, a labor of love. if the thing is about 100# or more, I'd guess a value of $50-$100 in populated areas. Are you in the US? Probably worth less elsewhere. Things that could make it more valuable are an adjustable fire grate so you can adjust fire height from slow smoking to...

    DIY kitchen remodel tips wanted

Advice is >1 yr late, but you can never have too much lighting or electrical outlets. Also, budget more counter space than you think to a sink, and avoid any sink with a divider to it. (Having the disposal outlet off-center can be nice however.) As far as surviving, we ate out a lot. Sure...

    A Nice Peanut Coleslaw

Adding croutons to coleslaw can be nice too. But croutons will get soggy if stored...gotta' only add them when served. Peanuts can endure...great idea. Salt & Crunch is the trick.

    Nighttime Grill Lighting

I've mounted 2 LED floodlights in my cook area. They're intended for permanent architectural lighting so are rugged and seem electrically (120vac) safe. But the larger headlamps with 3 18650's keep getting better I use those a lot.

Finally got the last big piece for my shop.

Still, I wear a good headlamp. I don't know how I ever survived without one.

Do you use toppings on your chili?

Or on just about any pasta noodle.

    New Griddle

Yes, don't forget the paper towels. And 15" of chain to keep the wind from blowing them away. (I've mounted a horizontal bar underneath to hold the roll)

Finally got the last big piece for my shop.

just a little obstacle in your path. It will be SOOO great to get that lift working. I used to be able to do just about anything with a single hydraulic roller jack and willpower. But as I age, even an oil change is a big endeavor. You can just never have enough space and enough light as...

    Wild boar shoulder

I'd think wild boar would be awful compared to the breeds that've been domesticated for 500 years. Yet I know someone who went bow-hunting for one and he said it was good. But he didn't offer me any...FWIW.

What in the Sweet Baby Jesus is going on? Meat prices.

And I'm amazed how many of those people there are! I, too, have given up on the farmers' markets...they're out of my league. Back to Walmart. :-(

    Smoked Chex Mix

Kids aren't crazy about CPM because it's savory, not sweet. The Goldfish crackers are a genius replacement of CheeseIts to appeal to a younger crowd. Thanks!! I've used some cayenne pepper before to add a little heat but will have to try Tabasco next time.

A fun way to cruise the campgrounds.

Thanks Chris! Life ain't fair. When I was young and strong, my bike weighed 25 pounds. I carried it around with a couple fingers. I was fast and fearless on that thing. Now I'm old and weak, I value safety, and my bikes weigh 45 pounds. I struggle putting them in an SUV or truck bed. I'm...

I'm a first time pellet smoker. -hoping to learn

I recommend chicken thighs. You can make just a few at a time. They cook fairly fast and are awfully cheap so if you ruin a batch you're not out much. Plus BBQ sauce can save the day if they get too dry or the Missus thinks you made them too smokey.

    Smoked Chex Mix

I leave out pretzels but add Cheez-Its. And oat Cheerios are a good cereal addition too. (My corn:rice:wheat:oat ratio is 3:2:2:2. I've made it with mixed nuts (minus peanuts) for those with peanut sensitivities but usually use just Costco peanuts...and they get extra time in the sauce! And...

A fun way to cruise the campgrounds.

How heavy are these? Can you get them in and out of a pickup bed without a ramp? Maybe just the tires make them look heavy.
