SSR to heating element wire HOT?

Just kinda thinking about your build here, if you have those heating elements wired in parallel, you will be drawing approximately 25 amps.  That is a bit high for 12ga COPPER wire.  It really should be 10ga copper.  If that is aircraft wire, would it happen to be aluminum?  I know weight is a...

roll call on brands of pellet grill

Cool, and thank you.  I ran it a few times just to test it out.  I did a few chickens.  Last weekend I did some spare ribs and country style ribs I had in the freezer.  It works really well.  The pellet burner produces an incredible amount of smoke considering it is a pellet burner.  I have...

roll call on brands of pellet grill

Does this count to belong to the group?  It's kind of a hybrid.  A refrigerator converted to a pellet smoker.

    Two Butts One Cabnet?

I concur!  Dump the water and use sand or pea gravel.  I use concrete pavers in my Char griller Pro with a forced draft fire box.  There is a fair amount of air moving thru the smoker and my butts are never dry.  Butts are very forgiving.

    Rookie from Wisconsin

Yup, I'm from WI as well.  If you can't find a smoker that can handle the WI winters, then do what I did.  Build your own (look in my title block below)!  Good luck and welcome to your new obsession!
