Need Help With A New Reverse Flow Build 275 gallon

Sounds like a good plan. No need to do a slow burn or hang at 250 before going hotter. Fire it up and get her HOT.

    Tank smoker build

Yeah, that is way too small. The size of the firebox is not exclusively determined by burning logs. Burning charcoal to get the same BTUs will use the same amount of air for combustion. You are in uncharted territory. I advise a larger FB, but it is your smoker.

    RF Design / Build question

You may also want to reconsider the depth of your CC. At 34" it will be quite a reach to the back of the racks. Check out my build for ideas and answers to some of your questions: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/142872/my-rf-vision

    Tank smoker build

    Your FB is 18 x 24 x ?? At 18 x 24 x 24, your FB is undersized. A 4"exhaust is still good though.

    new RF 38" x 60" build = on a budget

Your chimney is just fine; more heat is a good thing where chimneys are concerned. Smaller fire and keeping the door closed is the right answer.

    Tank smoker build

Nice. Looks like you have come a long way so far. Need to know the dimensions of your tank to determine the exhaust sizes. At a swag, I would go with 4" diameter 36" long.

New member needs help with first smoker build

If you can get hold of a slip roll former, you can roll them to the proper shape. Otherwise, you could install either internal or external vertical ribs to the doors that are formed to the right contour. External ribs are easier and do not interfere with cooking grates. Just tack your doors...

What to do with a 47kg gas bottle

Hello chefslot, You probably have not received many responses because we are on the English system of weights and measures. At first glance I had no clue how big a 47kg tank was. A quick run through google, and I found it is a 100 pound tank, which I surmise from your stated diameter of 15in...

    Minnesota Reverse Flow Smoker Build

Yes, that is sufficient. Area at the end of the RF plate is at least as big as the FB/CC opening. Your math looks good here.
