Tomorrow (Saturday 11-13-09) I'm smoking my first turkey. Had great success with whole chickens and now need advice on doings turkey.
I have a Electric ECB and plan to run it at 250-275F.
How long should I plan for a 12 pound bird?
Thanks guys for all the advice.
I was able to do 2 whole chickens in less than 4 1/2 hours.

Thanks guy.

But I'm working on that, and with the her request of the chickens for tonight I think she is coming to light (smoke).
I hope to...
Hello to all.
I'm Gerald and rather new to smoking.

I'm relatively new to smoking and have committed to smoking a couple chickens tomorrow for the wife.
I'm using a Electric-ECB and plan to run about 250F. In the past it took about 4 hours maybe 5 for one whole chicken.
So how long should I plan for TWO that are cut in half (brest to back)?
